Which Way to the Beach?

Finding the beach will be of no difficulty when you stay in one of our vacation escapes in the Rosemary Beach community; chances are you will be able to walk right out the door of your property and bury your toes in the sugar white sands! What you choose to do out there, of course, varies from guest to guest. Choose between frolicking in the surf, tanning on the beach, or escaping into the newest summer blockbuster under a cheerfully colorful umbrella that will protect your skin from the elements! Building sandcastles and moonlit walks at shore’s edge are other ways to enhance the fun you can have outdoors in Florida.

Stay Home and Play

By home, we mean your vacation home, of course! Our comfortable and stylish vacation escapes offer community amenities for you to enjoy without leaving the property. Swim in crystal clear pools, barbecue your catch of the day on your back porch, or simply enjoy sunset views with a refreshing beverage in hand. A Florida sunrise is a sight to behold, stopping people in their tracks when out and about, and when viewed over the water from your balcony, it’s one you will never forget! Reserve your vacation escape in the Rosemary Beach community today!

Our charming Rosemary Beach community is known for more than its scenic landscape and friendly residents; the shops and boutiques that can be found here are designed to bring pleasure to everyone who enters their doors, and this guide will help you find the best of the best!

Patchouli’s, 82 S Barrett Square

This sweet boutique offers one of our favorite types of shopping experiences, as it features pretty much everything we could need in life, from essential oils to bath and body (including an entire collection that is patchouli made), beauty products, perfumes that are customized for your needs, and a decent line just for men. Plan on spending a few hours and probably more than a few bucks here; the prices are reasonable but do add up quickly!

Rosemary Beach Trading Co, 34 N Barrett Square #1C

Everyone’s guilty pleasure is doing a little souvenir shopping while on vacation, and as we seemingly can’t get enough magnets, t-shirts, and coffee mugs, souvenir shops pop up all over the world; you can even buy a souvenir coin from the gift shop at Notre Dame in Paris! The Rosemary Beach Trading Company may not be in Paris, but we think the trinkets and treasures found here are something you will fall in love with! Made well and designed to be stylish, we especially love their selection of shirts, sweatshirts, and hats!

The first day of spring marks an exciting day in Rosemary Beach. It’s the start of one of our favorite seasons of the year, when visitors from around the country (and the world!) travel to Rosemary to relax, unwind and make memories at the beach. With International Happiness Day coinciding, there was even more cause for celebration. As part of our Random Acts of Rosemary, visitors can stumble upon free and fun activities that are completely unannounced and are sure to be fun for the whole family. Made possible by the Property Owners Association, the first “act” of the year involved setting up shop on the green and handing out free hot dogs from Dogmandu during lunch. What a wonderful turnout with so many happy faces!

The talented team at Vivospasalon provided awesome chair massages and the talented balloon-maker Andrea wandered Rosemary creating whimsical balloon animals and flowers for kids.  Just another day in Rosemary Beach!

Rosemary Beach was alive with music and creative spirit this weekend as songwriters from around the country converged along Scenic Highway 30A for rare, one-of-a-kind performances, sharing their stories, passion and musical artistry.

Rosemary Beach featured three 30A Songwriters Festival venues—Rosemary Beach Town Hall, Summer Kitchen and Amavida. Each location provided a wonderfully intimate setting where artists felt comfortable and embraced our relaxed, coastal style as they performed for music-loving audiences.

At Rosemary Beach Town Hall, we kicked off Friday with acclaimed Nashville Singer/Songwriter Jeffrey Steele, who has co-written more than sixty hit songs for artists including Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, and Rascal Flatts, among many others. On Saturday, our very own Joe Leathers performed with friends, Kyle Jacobs, Ruston Kelly and Nicole Witt, to a full house. Performances continued through Sunday when we welcomed Bryan Kennedy, David Olney, Alan Rhody, Sugar Cane Jane, The Saint Johns, Jerry Douglas and Gretchen Peters, among others.

In a recent article in the Walton Sun, festival producer Russell Carter shared “one thing that differentiates the 30ASF from the many other music festivals across the country is that it is a unique musical experience in that everyone who is invited to play the festival is an original songwriter,” said Carter.

“That is the tie that binds all the musicians together in a bond of musical respect and admiration, and what is evident to everyone in the audience up and down 30A is a consistent authenticity to the music and performances,” he said. “This is not manufactured music, not singers covering songs others wrote, nothing is auto tuned, nothing is taped to backing tracks — these are soul bearing, heart wrenching, honest performances that will make you laugh, cry, and make you think about your life and others in ways you may not have imagined before.”

The 30A Songwriters Festival is held each year over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. To learn more about the 2015 30A Songwriters Festival, Jan. 16-18, visit www.30ASongwritersFestival.com.

The 4th of July in Rosemary Beach is a day-long celebration. We start the day off with our bike decorating breakfast, followed by our annual bike parade which beings in North Barrett Square and ends on the Western Green. There, everyone is welcome to participate in family field day. With hula hoop contests, sack races and water balloon tosses, everyone is sure to have an exciting time. Later that afternoon, everyone (dogs included) gathers on the Eastern Green for an old fashioned BBQ and then back to the Western Green for the evening concert. The amazing fireworks began at dark and are certainly the best on the beach. The town was full of guests, homeowners and those from our surrounding communities.
