COVID-19 Updates

Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Company implemented full-scale enhancements to our already stringent health and safety procedures. To give you peace of mind, it is important to know exactly what this involves, as you deserve an understanding of what to expect when you arrive for your much-deserved vacation.

  • Is the beach open?

Yes, the Rosemary Beach POA Beach Service is operating and setting up with social distancing protocols. Guests are able to bring their own chairs and set up in designated areas, which are assigned by an attendant first come, first serve.

  • Are the pools open?

The four community pools are open daily:

    • Hours: The pools will be open from 9AM to 9PM each day for general use.
    • Safety: Social distance and personal hygiene per CDC guidelines will be required as a condition of entering the facility, and patrons not complying will be asked to leave. Masks are discretionary, and should not be worn while swimming.
    • Sky Pool: Will be open from 6AM to 9AM each morning for Lap Swim only, and close at 10pm
    • Sanitization: Staff will sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as door/gate hardware, restrooms, pool railings, and furniture not less than once daily, and will ensure that there is an adequate supply of hand sanitizer and wipes available for patron use while using the facility.
  • Are short term rentals open?

Florida Governor has accepted the Walton County Board of County Commissioners’ proposed plan of enhanced cleaning and safety practices, clearing the way for the BCC to reopen short term vacation rentals in Walton County, which they did at an emergency meeting on Tuesday afternoon. This action is effective immediately. Review: Walton-Co-plan

  • Where can I check for travel tips and updates?

Plan ahead for your visit with these tips:

⦁ Bring supplies that may not be available due to limited infrastructure in Walton County, such as hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and plan to use them.

⦁ Plan to purchase supplies such as groceries or other essential items before arriving in the destination, as local shortages are possible. Keep in mind that homes will not be accessed before check-in, have a plan for perishable items.

Housekeeping Sanitation Guidelines

We have modified our housekeeping standards to keep our guests, employees, and community safe.

  • Housekeeping teams will use products that meet the CDC/EPA guidelines approved and effective for use against virus, bacteria, and other pathogens
  • Special attention is paid to disinfect “high-touch” areas (doorknobs, light switches, remote controls, etc.)
  • Things may look a little different, we have removed decorative soft items (throw pillows, blankets, etc.)
  • Housekeepers and Inspectors wear mask and gloves upon entering the home
  • Soft surfaces and upholstery will be sanitized
  •  In an effort to limit guest/staff contact, midweek linen exchanges will not be available.

Maintenance Guidelines

  • All guests will vacate the home before maintenance staff enters
  • Technicians will wear gloves and masks at all times and dispose of properly after exiting
