Exploring the beauty of the area by day and relaxing in comfort and style of our vacation escapes by night is exactly what you need to bring the smile back to your face and a little extra skip in your step. Check out some of our favorite natural Rosemary Beach attractions in the area below.
Rosemary Beach Private Beach
Sticking close to your home away from home is no tragedy when the natural attraction you are drawn to is the sugar white sands of Rosemary Beach Private Beach. The pictures you’ve seen over the years are legitimate; the sand is as white and fine as it looks and contrasts beautifully with the clear turquoise waters of the Gulf! Created in a process we can’t begin to understand or explain, the sand is composed tiny particles of quartz, found in the Appalachian Mountains and the Apalachicola River thousands and thousands of years ago.
Camp Helen State Park
The beauty of this particular area of Florida is world renowned, and when you want to experience a little bit of history while exploring the natural landscape, Camp Helen State Park is where you want to be. Located less than a mile from the Rosemary Beach community, this breathtaking spot is the home to the state’s largest coastal dune lake, Lake Powell. Coastal dune lakes are rare in this world, found only in New Zealand, Australia, Madagascar, and the United States; Oregon, South Carolina, and Florida are the only states to have these lakes. Featuring a mixture of fresh and salt waters, the ecosystem is a unique one, offering a special variety of plants and animals you will only find in other coastal dune lakes. Rumored to have been in existence for thousands of years, the legend of the Creature of Powell Lake is a fun story to tell the young ones in your traveling group! The waters turn from a muddy brown to a deep midnight blue as you near the edges closest to the sea, making the pictures you take extraordinarily beautiful ones!
